Description

Flavoring: It has smooth flavor with rich body. It is a flavorful variety nutty, sweet hazelnut with hints of raspberry. Medium roasted whole beans allows the true flavor characteristic to come through for a remarkable taste.  Hazelnut, orange, chocolate, brown sugar.

Pocos de Caldas is a region about 100 miles north of Sao Paolo, known for both its coffee and its mineral spring spas.  It is very fertile and the green hills of the region are covered with coffee farms, with a predominantly volcanic soil base.

Relatively high altitudes (3300 ft) and cool winter temperatures allow the coffee cherries to grow slowly, concentrating a more complex flavor profile.

Peaberry coffees are very rare, occurring in only 5% or less crops, and are associated in particular with Tanzania, although obviously in this case, can be found in other regions too.  A peaberry type coffee bean is one where the coffee cherry has a single bean inside it rather than the more common two beans.  It is more oval or pea shaped, rather than looking like half an oval as most coffee beans do.  It is suggested that peaberry type beans make for a more complex and acidic coffee, with a slightly lighter body.

The recommended roast for this rich bodied coffee is very wide. From a light roast to a dark roast.

A Blonde Coffee is normally a light  to medium roasted coffee that comes from Latin America or eastern Africa.

This coffee is normally roasted MEDIUM DARK and usually we send it to you WHOLE BEAN.  Please view our roast types page to determine the roast you desire.

If you desire a different roast or grind beyond those offered here, please enter your customization in the NOTE field on the CHECKOUT page prior to clicking the button to purchase your coffee.
